Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola said at a press conference ahead of Newcastle meeting (Aug 21) that midfielder Calvin Phillips has recovered from an injury. As for the new left-back, Sergio Gomez will be in the kit.
Phillips and Cole Palmer suffered minor injuries during training until the last week ‘s 4-0 thrashing of Bournemouth at St. James ‘ Park, the 51 -year -old is confident he will recover in ufabet time.
” Cole Palmer is back , Calvin Phillips as well , some players have minor injuries but overall okay, ” the Spaniard said.
” For Gomez, as far as I can see, it’s a good practice, no complaints. ”
“ That guy can settle down , respect the mood with the team. This is in the process of getting to know each other. will travel with you. ”

The Spaniard also confirmed that Cole Palmer will be back in contention to feature on the weekend. But the return of Phillips will be a huge boost to compliment the likes of Rodri in Midfield.
