Laporte trains to get fit in Bilbao

Emerick Laporte has trained with former club Athletic Bilbao after Manchester City gave the 28-year-old the green light to look after his son who opened his eyes to the world last week.

Manchester City defender Emerick Laporte, 28, has returned to training with his former ufabet club Athletic Bilbao after undergoing surgery on a knee injury in July and is expected to be back at Old Trafford. Will return to practice with the sailing team again in September. As reported by Marca on Saturday. 

Laporte began his career at Athletic Bilbao in 2012 before joining Manchester City in the summer of 2018. The 28-year-old defender underwent knee surgery last month. The boat team licensed players to return to rehabilitation at Lesama, the training ground for the famous Basque team under the supervision of a Fitness City coach. After Laporte’s son just opened his eyes to the world last week

According to reports, Laporte will attend a charity match between Barcelona and Manchester City at Camp Nou on August 24, before the 28-year-old returns to Manchester. At the end of the month to continue training with Pep Guardiola’s team.

Laporte, who signed for City in a €65million deal four years ago, has played 154 matches for the club with 12 goals and four assists. During that time, the Spain international – who switched allegiances from France before Euro 2020 – has won four Premier League titles, as many League Cups and the FA Cup in 2019.
